This site is directed to commercial wearable art and hair/makeup/beauty with a bit more. There is some partial nudity depicted so if not appropriate for you, perhaps it's best to leave now.
My name is Tom McInvaille. I answer to Tom, Thomas, Mac, Carmen (it’s a long story…), Nigel (even longer…), and Hey You — but not “Mr.“ anything… While this may appear to be a flip comment, it does accurately define the culture in my studio: we are polite and respectful but drop all formalities.
About me: an award winning professional photographer and working artist for more than thirty years. Best gig: ten years as special assignment/staff photographer with the United States Olympic Committee and Olympic Teams. A general member of the American Society of Media Photographers, (ASMP), for twenty eight years. MA in Art, eleven years faculty at UW-Madison, and have taught photography for as long as I can remember. I work, show and publish internationally.
Located in Madison, Wisconsin, I shoot for clientele across the country from the corner Mom and Pop to Fortune 500 companies. While Madison does not have the cachet of New York, Miami, or Chicago, reasonable expenses allow me to offer very competitive rates relative to my big-city peers. We also have the capability for live image streaming so a client is not required to be on site for the production. Seeing images in real time, from any location, has been a highly successful addition to our work flow allowing comments and suggestions to be made as the project progresses. A Madison production is a cost effective option.
Essential for producing photography that stands out from the masses is an energized dialogue between client and photographer. Years ago I learned two minds are far better than one… The more creative the ideas and specific the requirements, the better the results. By employing formal principles of design, composition and color theory, my photography is distinctive and effective. I am equally versed in the tenants of visual literacy and advertising strategies. Putting together the pieces results in seamless, highly efficient productions.
Instrumental to success is a strong team and mine is exceptional with each individual an artist in their own right and a participant in all creative decisions. While I embrace the responsibility for a final product, everyone plays an important role to that end. With me: it’s all hands on deck!
We’re very serious about the process but go about tasks in a manner that allows lighter moments to complement the hard work. In my shop laughter is a requirement! As I write it occurs projects become a kind of living theater with challenges, passions, personalities and excitement permeating all — each production a new and different story. Problems occur — it’s a fact. But rather than panic we see issues as creative possibilities and proceed enthusiastically.
My goal is to encourage you to linger with each presentation, to enjoy the product, the fantasy, a lifestyle.
My standard: to surpass your expectations.
I run a lively and fun studio — perhaps you should check us out? The coffee’s good, (a joke… I make it…), but it is always hot…!
Please enjoy the presentation:
